In my sustained investigation, I am exploring the following questions through art and creativity; How can the beauty of architecture be portrayed and honored through printmaking and painting?  How can the switch from Classical architecture to modern contemporary art be viewed through creation? 

   

    In my AP Art and Design class, my prints focus on the strict lines of remarkable European architecture that is unchangeable and always preserved. No matter the changes that occur in cities, Classical structures withstand the brunt of societal evolution. I am providing an ode to European architecture and the admiration that these structures and ancient cities deserve. Adding the color of paint to the prints, the vastness of color is explored and paired with each building to permit and demonstrate experience. Pushing color on my prints allows access to the modern day, bridging old and new.
